Help us raise $7,000 by July 10th to start building school for Vulnerable children

Help us raise $7,000 by July 10th to start building Vocational School for vulnerable children and young adults in Jonglei, South Sudan.

Deng Opportunities Foundation wants to build a school because we want to provide these children with a quality education. It is through these children that the region can find a more sustainable future. Through education we will introduce people from this region to more sustainable ways of earning living, raising families and building infrastructure. With appropriate funding, we will be able to build our first Vocational School in Jonglei State of South Sudan for vulnerable children and young adults as well sending 5 of these vulnerable children to quality schools while the vocational school is being built and help them become the leaders in this region so desperately needs. We are targeting this audience specifically because they are the most at risk and they have the most to gain from a quality education. We are solving several problems at once. We are getting children off the streets to schools. We are preventing the military factions from recruiting or, in some cases, kidnapping these children to fight in their rebel armies and tribal wars. We are educating people in more sustainable forms of agriculture. We are providing people with exposure to successful social models. We are training people to build stronger communities through cooperation, not oppression. These vulnerable children that we are educating are the generations who will bring development to the country of South Sudan.

With the sum of $7,000, we will be able to start building our Vocational School in the Jonglei region to help vulnerable children and even young adults to take advantage of learning opportunities through both group classes, technical training classes, and educational classes. This first Vocational School will be a test model to measure the impact of such facilities on a community. If this model proves successful, we will look to replicate across the whole of South Sudan. By educating the vulnerable children and young adults, we are generating the teachers that will run these learning institutions. Within a matter of one generation, this area could turn from a third world country into a thriving community, full of hope and prosperity. Our plan for sustainability is in the ability to raise enough capital to build this first Vocational School and train at least 440 vulnerable children to become the leaders of this movement. Once the spark is lit, these 440 leaders will become 4,400 and then the whole region, and then the entire country.

Your gift of $25 or more could transform lives of vulnerable children in Jonglei, South Sudan.
Your gift will be matched through July 10th. So, please donate today!
